Located on a prominent site facing onto the banks of the River Dee and adjacent to the inner ring road our design included a circular tower at this end of the site. The second office building facing towards the main rail line as it approaches the railway station in Aberdeen has an equally distinctive square tower.

The development included the retention and restoration of the ‘B’ listed electric tram shed dating from 1900-1910. The development was one of the first in the area to take advantage of the views of the River Dee and has led to further office development in the area.

Located at the harbour mouth, the original single storey granite building had been a French Seafood Restaurant. Our clients wished to develop an upper floor where diners could enjoy 360 degree views of the harbour, beach and adjacent fishing community of Fittie (Footdee).

The construction of Union Street in the early 1800s involved bridging between several small hills with a series of granite arches. For over two centuries these arches had been used for many different purposes. Our clients asked that two of the large span spaces to be converted into a new performance venue for emerging bands. This work involved significant work to waterproof the underside of the arches and to convert the space into an exciting new venue.
